Grandmaster Jason Brooks,
Co-Founder

With a martial arts lineage dating back to 1977, Grandmaster Jason Brooks has spent nearly half a century mastering the mechanics of combat, personal protection, awareness and the mechanics of real-world self-defense. An understudy of the legendary Grandmaster John Natividad, Jason holds four black belts across Tang Soo Do, Karate-Do, Bushinkai Ninjutsu, and Krav Haganah. This lifetime of dedication has earned him multiple inductions into the Universal and United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Jason’s expertise is not confined to the dojo; it was forged in the crucible of the United States Marine Corps. As the Lead Instructor for the 2D Recon Battalion’s Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), he personally trained over 300 Recon Marines and 3,500 active-duty personnel in combat tactics and Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical warfare. After being medically retired in 2005 due to injuries sustained during combat operations in Iraq, Jason transitioned his “battle-tested” mindset  into the civilian, law enforcement, and executive protection sectors with a continued focus on practical personal safety deterrent information and responsible training.

Today, Jason is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in high-stakes security. From serving on Presidential motorcade details to operating as an Executive Protection specialist for the UFC and elite film industry clients, his career has centered around real-world awareness, fast decision-making, and practical protection strategies. As a Master Firearms Instructor, Nevada P.O.S.T. Instructor, and adjunct teacher for the National Association of Chiefs of Police, he remains at the forefront of officer survival and tactical innovation. Every tool Jason creates is a distillation of this 45-year career…designed by a warrior, for those who refuse to be victims.

As a co-founder of Belt Buddy Pro, a discreet personal safety brand based in Las Vegas, Jason brings decades of field experience into the development of compact, low-profile products built around simplicity, reliability, and discreet personal safety. Every design reflects a commitment to non lethal personal safety awareness, straightforward belt based safety tool information, and practical confidence for everyday life.
